🍷Wiki’s Wine & Grill - Closing Soon

Wiki’s Wine Dive & Grill in Bakersfield will close permanently on March 2, 2025, following co-owner Mike Earhart’s retirement. Open since 2013, the restaurant's owners expressed gratitude for community support. They invite guests to visit and celebrate before the final day.

📉Budget Cuts

The Bakersfield City School District is considering cutting 36 full-time positions, including 23 from its High-Functioning Autism Program, which could be eliminated by August 2025. Other layoffs include art, intervention, K-6, and middle school teachers. Additionally, 148 support staff positions may be reduced due to funding shortages. If approved, cuts take effect July 1. The Board of Trustees will discuss the proposal at their Tuesday meeting.

🎨Art After Dark Event🌃

Bakersfield Museum of Art will be hosting their big night ‘Art After DarkThursday, 2/27, making it the 10th year of this event. This after-hours art experience will provide live music, cocktails provided by Tiki-Ko, and entertainment. Event is from 7pm to 9pm. Get your tickets today for $20 pre-sale or $25 at the door.
