Brief Update…

“Bomb Cyclone”

A "bomb cyclone" winter storm is set to impact the Pacific Northwest, bringing damaging winds, heavy rain, and significant mountain snow to California, Oregon, and Washington. Fueled by an atmospheric river, it may cause flooding, mudslides, and rockslides, with up to 15 inches of rain in some areas. NOAA has issued a high-risk excessive rainfall alert for northwest California. The storm coincides with severe weather across the Great Lakes, Northeast, and Gulf Coast, making it a major winter weather event.
